“My biliary atresia diagnosis completely transformed my family's lives and deeply shaped my childhood. It taught me how to navigate uncertainty and drives my goal of becoming a physician who can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families just like mine. Receiving the RISE Bursary is very meaningful to me because it allows me to focus more fully on my studies as I begin a Bachelor of Science in Physiology at the University of Alberta. I am incredibly grateful to Mirum Pharmaceuticals for their support and for helping me pursue these goals.”
